Your trainer workout, ridden through a world.

Cranklands plays structured workouts on your smart trainer and turns every interval into a place to ride through. The trainer holds the watts. You get something to look at besides a wall.

What it does

Pick a workout. Pedal. The rest is handled.

Cranklands is an indoor cycling app for Android phones and tablets. It talks to your smart trainer over Bluetooth, sets the resistance for every interval, and keeps the numbers big enough to read at threshold.

Trainer control

ERG mode, hands off

Connects to any FTMS smart trainer and sets the target power for each block. Nudge intensity up or down 5 percent without stopping, and auto-pause when you stop pedalling.

Workouts

105 ready to ride

Endurance, tempo, sweet spot, VO2 and anaerobic sessions, from 30-30s to long aerobic ramps. Search, favourite, or build your own from steps, ramps and repeats.

Plans

A week built around you

Answer four questions and get a plan from the workout library. See it on a calendar, move a session, swap it or skip it.

Readable

Made for arm's length

Target and live power are huge, colour-coded against your FTP, and never depend on colour alone. Everything is built to be read while you are sweating.

Progress

History that means something

Every ride is saved with its stats, so you can watch your FTP, weekly load and best power move. Finish a ride and get a recap image to share.

Atmosphere

Music and a landscape

A chiptune song plays during the ride, with one button to stop it. The scenery scrolls with your cadence, and the world changes as the workout goes on.

The lands

Three worlds. Nine places. One long ride.

Each world is a loop of three regions joined by landmarks. The workout moves you round it, so a 60-minute session travels somewhere instead of circling one street. Prefer plain numbers? The default view has no scenery at all.

The Cranklands rider
